Due to Covid, Irma and Rubens changed their wedding date after long consideration. They decided to postpone to make sure all of their friends and family could celebrate with them. We wanted to still honor their original wedding date and capture some beautiful photos in a field of lavender like Irma always envisioned. So, Irma’s wedding planner, Rachel, and I set out to make sure they still had a special way to celebrate their love together! The result was a gorgeous lavender field engagement session, and it was the perfect way to still celebrate their original date.
Surprising the Couple
Their session was at Springfield Manor in Maryland. This amazing venue is home to the Maryland Lavender Festival, and there are fields of beautiful lavender as far as the eye can see. Blooms are harvested at peak bloom to produce the award-winning Lavender Gin.
We organized with the venue to have time for their lavender field engagement session, and the lavender was in full bloom. We also surprised the couple by bringing along with us a picnic basket, some champagne glasses, and a gorgeous bouquet that Rachel arranged for Floret + Vine to create, all as a gift to this amazing couple!
Lavender Field Engagement Session
Irma and Rubens radiate joy so having them in front of my camera for another session was a blessing! Their love is so obvious in the photos, and they clearly just enjoy being together. Between the blanket, the picnic basket, and the gorgeous lavender field, it was the perfect scene. Not to mention, the bouquet was a lovely addition and helped create some beautiful shots.
This couple is literally the sweetest, and I’m so glad we could make their dreams come true with this photoshoot! I can’t wait to celebrate with them and their family later this year! I love working with each and every one of my couples, and I would love to work with you too. Shoot me a message, so we can get started!
