I am a city lover with country roots living in West Virginia! I’ve always had a soft spot for legacy and romance - and nothing blends those two things more perfectly than the art of photography! Throughout my journey as a photographer I’ve been honored to document some of the sweetest moments for couples and families across the east coast. Nearly a decade later, I still love every minute of this passion!

I want to ensure your photos will stay classic and never go out of style which is why I choose to edit my photos in a true-to-life style. My two goals on a wedding day are to capture the special moments between the couple, family and friends and to tell the story of you both as a couple. After being a bride myself, I have found an even deeper love for wedding days and capturing the moments that matter. I have found that focusing on the moments allows everything else to easily fall into place - real moments over perfection.

about me

I believe love is a powerful force in the universe, and I want to preserve yours so it can be treasured by generations of your family still to come!

When I’m not meeting new couples or capturing memories with families, you can probably catch me either; snuggled up on the couch with my husband watching documentaries, strolling the aisles at Target (and picking up so much more than what I came for), or heading to Pittsburgh to see a musical with my family. Anyone who’s ever ridden in my car already knows to prepare themselves to sing along to my playlists of show-tunes, and I will belt out the songs! Thanks for reading more about me!

I can’t wait to get to know you and to turn your treasured memories into time capsules you can revisit for decades to come.

From the time I was old enough to snap a photo on a disposable camera, my family patiently played along as I directed them to scoot close and smile. And I will never be able to adequately express how much that still means to me! Their love and support gave me the confidence I needed to launch my own photography business, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.

WATERCOLOR PAINTING

what makes my heart happy

My favorite section in the craft store has always been the paint aisle, with its rainbow of brilliant color. There’s just something about playing with color on a canvas that relaxes my mind and body. I love giving my creative streak another medium to play in!

Whether I’m on a 22-hour road trip (yep, I drove straight from Colorado to West Virginia once!) or I’m hopping on an international flight, every chance for a new adventure makes my heart beat faster. My fiancé and I are trying to travel to all 50 states together, and we’ve hit 23 so far! Wish us luck, and tell us where we should head next!

When you and your husband share quality time as a love language, you’re sure to have some of the best date nights! Michael has this incredible way of surprising me with the most creative dates, including a penny date night, where we flipped a penny throughout the night to decide what we did next. And you’d better believe I’ll never say no to a spontaneous date night at Chick-fil-A!

When I say I do so much more than take photos on your wedding day, I mean it! I’ve literally sewn buttons back onto a groom’s jacket and I’m always ready with the stain remover, Tylenol, and an extra bottle of water. If anything fails to go quite as planned on your wedding day, I am ready to help you know that there’s no need to be stressed. Being a wedding photographer is not about me; it’s about serving my couples in the best way possible.

My heart is filled with so much joy when I receive happy messages from my clients expressing their love for their photos. Or when I am scrolling on social media and I see clients have changed their profile photo to a photo I captured! I am SO incredibly thankful for this opportunity to bring joy to other families. I started photography just as something fun, but the joy I received in return is more than I could have ever imagined!

my why

You know that sinking feeling you get when you realize the last piece of a puzzle is missing from the box? When you were so close to seeing the full picture, but now, something vital is missing? Well, I’m driven to ensure you never, ever feel that when you look at your gallery. By intentionally exploring the full possibility of every situation -- whether on your wedding day or during a family photo session -- I am able to document every piece of the puzzle. And even as I’m documenting your fairy-tale first dance or just a lighthearted afternoon with your family, I already have an eye on how these photos will be treasured 100 years from now.

True, I want to create art you’ll enjoy today. But I also want to create something with you that will become a family heirloom, passed around on holidays and enjoyed for generations to come. This is why I am dedicated to documenting every interaction, emotion, and delicate detail that immerses you into the moment.

And finally, I believe the best way to document a story in its most intimate, sincere emotion is to truly build an authentic friendship with my clients. This way, I can be attentive to moments that matter most to you. I can create space for your personality to shine. I can support and encourage you in a way that empowers you to step in front of a camera with confidence.

At the end of the day, I am dedicated to delivering a one-of-a-kind experience filled with blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments that are never missed. Want to find out how I do it? Explore the services I offer and take a peek behind the scenes at my client experience.
