Let love BLOOM! Juliet’s future last name will be Bloom so naturally when we were thinking of locations for engagement photos, a garden was at the top of our minds. We went to the Pittsburgh Botanical Gardens for their session and it did not disappoint!
We instantly clicked from the first hello.
Juliet at the end of our session said – “I feel like I met my long lost best friend.” Seriously same! Juliet and I connected from the first email, but being able to finally meet for their engagement session was the icing on the cake! We instantly clicked from the first hello and I knew our session was going to be gold!
Throughout their session I could tell that both Sam and Juliet were able to relax and truly trust me to capture their love. Which definitely allows for the session to flow easily! We were able to stroll around and let the creativity flow, stopping to capture photos in spots that caught our eye! We kept joking that Sam doesn’t love photos, but you would have never known that from these photos! He was joking and smiling the entire time! Probably from seeing how excited Juliet and I were when I got to show them sneak peaks from behind my camera!
Family Values
Both Sam and Juliet value their family, which makes the foundation of their relationship incredibly sweet. I have been waiting to share their session on the blog due to Juliet had a special surprise for her mom. Now that I have the green light, I wanted to share with you all the sentimental touch Juliet brought to the engagement session. Once you scroll through these images you will find Juliet in a white wedding gown. No, these two didn’t elope, that is actually her mother’s wedding dress AND it was her grandmother’s dress too. Juliet told me these details about the dress; “Great Grandmom made the wedding dress for Grandmother then she restyled it for my mom to wear. It has the same lace, satin & buttons – just the neckline, sleeves and the gathering in the front was different!” Her mom had no clue we were taking photos of Juliet actually wearing the dress, but she surprised her with these photos and prints for Mother’s Day. (Does anyone have a tissue box handy?) It was such an honor to capture so much history for their family to cherish!
Ways to cherish the past with your own wedding
Juliet is now planning ways to include details from this dress that has generations of love into her wedding day. I gave the suggestion to maybe use some of the buttons or fabric around her wedding bouquet! Congratulations to these two on their engagement and I cannot wait to party it up with them on their wedding day! Be on the look out in July to see their wedding gallery featured on the blog! Taking a Look Back
These photos below were sent to me from Juliet and they are photos of her grandmother in the original design of the gown she is wearing above! How awesome are these?! Thank you for having me document so much history, this is my favorite thing about photography!
