Jessica and Nick’s classic black tie wedding at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum was a beautiful celebration of love. I have been so excited to shoot their wedding ever since I had the opportunity to capture their engagement session. (Their downtown Pittsburgh engagement session was so much fun!) Their engagement photos turned out so beautifully, I could only imagine how amazing their wedding would be, and I was right!

These two really know how to throw a great party for their friends and family.
There was a lot of love put into so many details of the day. Everything from the bride’s gifts to her mother and now mother-in-law, featuring childhood photos of the bride and groom stitched inside clutch purses to the details of Jessica’s grandmother’s six pence to go in her shoe. Jessica wanted a classic black tie wedding palette and she included a pop of red within her florals, which was so eye-catching!
They had their ceremony within the family church, Resurrection Parish St. Thomas More Church, which had beautiful stained glass windows throughout. After the ceremony, the bride and groom and the bridal party hopped on the party bus to head to the reception at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum. That’s where the party began!
Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum was such a stunning venue and I absolutely LOVED the unique element of the full wrap around balcony above the reception hall so guests could get a different point of view. When guests arrived to the venue for cocktail hour they were presented with signature drinks with drinker stirrers that featured the bride and groom’s pup! Guests also had the difficult choice of selecting their favorite cookies to take home from the immaculate cookie table that the mother of the bride put her heart and soul into and has over 50 kinds of cookies!
Their wedding day was truly what most couples dream of. I am SO glad I got the chance to celebrate this beautiful couple on their wedding day! They truly are such a classy and fun couple and I absolutely am so grateful I had the opportunity to be a part of their beautiful day.
