Allison and Dan met at their church in Summersville after Dan moved to West Virginia from Ohio for work. Allision was home from college one summer and sat down next to someone she didn’t know. Little did she realize she’d be marrying him someday! They didn’t end up speaking until October, but that turned out to be perfect timing. They ended up having a beautiful Summersville Spring wedding at their church!
Having Fun Together
Allison and Dan are such a fun couple, and they enjoy vacationing together. In fact, their favorite date was their first vacation together. They went to Gatlinburg, Tennessee for an early morning hike (4:30 AM!). Their favorite part was waking up very early to see the sunrise at Clingman’s Dome. Allison says it was a cold hike, but definitely worth it! When it came to planning their wedding, they wanted to make sure to bring in these special moments, and really make the wedding personal to them. I love to see all of the fun touches my couple bring to their wedding day!
Summersville Spring Wedding
Allison and Dan got married at their church in a lovely ceremony complete with a mass. Their reception was actually in a hall right next to the Church. Allison wanted an elegant and romantic wedding with Spring colors. They combined peach and white flowers with lots of greenery and navy touches. Allison’s classic satin ballgown was perfect for her wedding’s theme, and Dan looked great in his navy suit! They had a sweets table on top of the wedding cake, and they gave away dog biscuits and seeds as favors. I love the idea of giving away biscuits for their guests’ furry friends! I love pets, and it was such a sweet touch that guests loved.
We got some amazing photos of them with the church brick as the backdrop. After the reception, we also got some sunset photos, and those are my favorite! One interesting detail is that they had a gun engraved with their names and wedding date! Obviously, we had to get photos of this too.
I loved working on Allison and Dan’s Summersville Spring wedding! They had so many beautiful details, and I got to take some great photos. Fun weddings with great couples are my favorite, and I work all throughout the east coast. If you’re planning your wedding, I would love to hear from you!
