Juliet and Sam’s Edgewood Country Club wedding was embraced with nothing but love from all involved. Family, and friends traveled to be a part of their special day, and they did not miss a beat when it came to celebrating these two! Sam and Juliet had met senior year of college. Two weeks after their five-year anniversary, Sam popped the question, and Juliet said YES. Their wedding day encompassed all the love that these two have shared over the past years.
Summer wedding in Charleston, West Virginia
Juliet and I quickly became close friends throughout her wedding planning process! She is a girl after my own heart. I am so grateful to become friends with the brides and grooms I capture wedding days for.
Juliet wore the most incredible gown. It was timeless and romantic. She chose a Mikado gown in a trumpet silhouette. It had an off-the-shoulder cuff neckline and back button detail that went from the neckline to the end of the train. I just love when gowns have button details!
Outdoor wedding ceremony at Edgewood Country Club
Juliet is a Christian and Sam is Jewish, and they incorporated both of their backgrounds with a beautiful interfaith ceremony. The ceremony didn’t focus on either religion but instead focused on the love that the couple has for each other and their families. Sam’s vision for the wedding was for it to celebrate all their family members coming together as one.
After the ceremony, the reception started with a photo challenge: The Ballroom blitz! I challenged the bride and groom to visit each table for a photo. Here’s the catch: they only had until the end of the song to complete this task! By the end, the happy couple will have memories for a lifetime with their guests. Not to mention, it really gets the party started. Later in the night, the couple also had the traditional Hora dance, which was so much fun!
It’s weddings like these that always remind me just how lucky I am to be a photographer! I love getting to know my couples and have the privilege of calling them clients and friends! If you are planning your dream wedding, get in touch! I would love to hear more about your vision for your big day and how I can capture those memories for you!
