Lexie & Anthony: A Snowy Mountain Wedding Straight Out of a Fairytale
Let’s take a trip back to March 1st—Lexie and Anthony’s unforgettable wedding day at Snowshoe Mountain, WV. I still can’t believe how perfect everything was, from the crisp blue skies that kicked off the morning to the snowflakes that gently began to fall just in time for the ceremony. It felt like something out of a dream… the kind of wedding you hope for every winter-loving couple.
Snowshoe isn’t just a stunning backdrop—it’s also a place full of memories for Lexie and Anthony, which made it all the more meaningful that they chose it for their wedding. As their photographer, I was absolutely thrilled to be a part of capturing this magical chapter of their love story.
When Snowflakes Became Wedding Guests
The ceremony began just as a soft snow started to fall—yes, exactly as they had wished for. I watched from behind my lens as the flakes danced past the windows of the beautiful mountaintop church, and it was honestly breathtaking. It felt like nature itself was giving them a blessing.
Post-ceremony, these two braved the cold like champs for some epic “Just Married” portraits out on the mountain. The light, the snow, their joy—it all came together in a way that gives me chills (and not just from the temperature!). I am obsessed with how these photos turned out, and I’m already dreaming of the next time I can get Lexie and Anthony back in front of my camera.
Details, Sentiment, and One Incredible Party
Let me just say—Lexie’s eye for detail was spot on. From the moment I walked into their venue at Corduroy Inn & Lodge, I could tell this was going to be something special. One of the most touching details? Lexie wore her mom’s wedding dress for the reception, carefully altered so it could also be worn by her sister on her own wedding day. Cue the happy tears.
Their cake table was surrounded by framed photos of their parents and grandparents—such a sweet tribute that gave everyone all the feels. The champagne wall/seating chart was both stylish and fun, and the custom ice luge was a total crowd-pleaser (yes, I took a moment to appreciate how cool—literally—it was). Once the dancing started, the night really came alive. The DJ had everyone on their feet, the speeches were full of laughter and emotion, and the parent dances? Let’s just say I had to wipe my camera lens more than once to keep up with the tears.
An Unforgettable Start to Wedding Season
Lexie and Anthony’s celebration was pure magic from start to finish. A winter wonderland with a whole lot of heart—and a couple who made every moment shine. This day will go down as one of my all-time favorites, and I couldn’t be more honored to have been a part of it.
Scroll down to relive their snowy, love-filled day—and trust me, you’re going to want to see every single moment.
